The Clinical Quality Specialist is responsible for promoting and supporting compliance within system and facility programs. This position performs medical record review, data abstraction from defined sources, and data entry to produce reports and information utilized to assess compliance with regulatory and nursing practice standards. This position collaborates closely with physicians and system leaders as a resource for program specific standards. The primary responsibilities inherent within this role include data abstraction, concurrent and retrospective chart review, data entry into any applicable registries, completion of regulatory and quality conformance audits, and serving as a resource for program specific standards.
