Chemical Technician – Film Coater | Logan, UT

Nexeo HR is hiring a detail-oriented and motivated Chemical Technician – Film Coater to support the early-stage production of cutting-edge optical products. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with precision materials and chemical processes that are essential to product success.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prep optical substrates for the film coating process

• Formulate and mix chemical solutions using established recipes and measurements

• Apply wet film coatings to substrates using precise techniques

• Label, store, and track materials throughout each step of the coating process

• Conduct visual inspections and measure film quality using standard inspection tools

• Maintain accurate records and follow procedures aligned with ISO 9001 Quality Management standards

• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business teams to support production goals

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficient in basic math and comfortable with measurement tools

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a lab/production environment

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to document work clearly

• Positive attitude and a team-first mindset

Pay 

$16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour

Schedule 

Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm
