Role: BI Developer

Location: Plano, TX (Remote)

Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing data models, including dimensional modelling, and developing and optimizing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data ingestion and transformation within database environment(e.g. Snowflake/SQL). - 5 Plus Years
• Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries for performance and efficiency within the environment(e.g. Snowflake). - 5 Plus Years
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues. - 5 Plus Years
• Ensuring data security, implementing appropriate access controls, and adhering to industry standards and regulations. - 5 Plus Years
• Translate business needs to technical specifications and working closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions. - 5 Plus Years
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and their data services, is often preferred. - 3 Plus Years
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy, Power BI and Tableau) - 5 Plus Years
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting - 5 Plus Years
• Evaluate and optimize current Business Intelligence (BI) platforms and drive continuous improvement in BI systems for better decision-making. - 5 Plus Years
• Collaborate with teams for systems Integrating with various data sources and third-party tools, including cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. - 5 Plus Years
• Report curation and data modelling - 5 Plus Years
• Participation in data warehouse design and Solid understanding of ETL processes and experience with tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading. - 5 Plus Years
• Documenting contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage - 5 Plus Years
• Creating technical documentation for BI tools - 5 Plus Years
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.- 5 Plus Years
